Software as a Service is growing at 21%

The turnover generated by the SaaS will be placed this year in the 12,100 million dollars and is expected to nearly double by 2015.

Software as a Service, that is "delivered and managed remotely by one or more providers to customers who pay for use" as defined by Gartner, a large growthcontinues and this year will generate 12,100 million according to forecasts.
This is an increase over 2010 of 20.7%, while estimates for 2015 are estimated atthe analyst 21,300 million dollars.
SaaS is not a new trend. For over a decade has been using this model, but had not experienced such growth due to various factors such as insecurity, the response timeor service availability. This has evolved to meet the needs of companies who see this type of service a way of reducing the costs of traditional software.
During the last few years has been associated with the SaaS cloud computing, but the fact is that the former is only the layer of software providing services in the cloud,although a very important significance for the adoption of such architectures .
As stated by Gartner, CRM software (Management Customer Relationship) remains the largest SaaS market and reach a turnover in 2011 of 3,800 million dollars. This figure would be content as 32% of the total volume for this market.
Meanwhile, the macro-segment content, community and collaboration (CCC) this yearwill generate a volume of 3,300 million dollars.
